# sk142232 - Azure Disk Encryption (ADE) is not an option when deploying Cloud Firewall Gateways or Management instances in Azure

## Symptoms

- Azure Disk Encryption (ADE) is not an option when deploying Gateway or management instances in Azure.

## Solution

This is not a Check Point issue; it is a Microsoft Azure limitation.

"**Can I apply Azure Disk Encryption on my custom Linux image?**

You can't apply Azure Disk Encryption on your custom Linux image. Only the gallery Linux images for the supported distributions called out previously are supported. Custom Linux images aren't currently supported."

Since Gaia is not one of the supported Linux images, this feature is not yet available.
