## Symptoms

## Cause

Endpoint Security Anti-Malware processes crash and consequently the Endpoint Security Media Encryption \& Port Protection Blade scan never starts.

Before the Media Encryption Blade starts the scan, it refers to Anti-Malware Blade to check the external media for malicious files. Since Anti-Malware processes crash, the Media Encryption \& Port Protection Blade scan is stuck.
