# sk140812 - Identity Sharing does not work following SIC reset

## Symptoms

- * When the user resets SIC on a new Security Management Server without restarting firewall services (as per the instructions in [sk86521](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk86521)) causes PEP gateways to not connect to the PDP gateway for Identity Sharing
