# sk140252 - "Malformed reply from site" error message when Capsule Connect / VPN disconnects after 20 seconds

## Symptoms

- * Capsule Connect / VPN disconnects after 20 seconds with "Malformed reply from site".
* SmartView Tracker logs show successful login but no Office Mode information is provided.

## Cause

Capsule Connect / VPN has a default login timeout of 20 seconds that is not related to any configuration on the Gateway or Management.

## Solution

During site creation "tcpTimeout" can be set to a higher value. The value cannot be manually set and must use another form of site creation like QRCode or URL.
