# sk139412 - "Error" state in the Display Overview of Anti-Malware blade after updating from E1 client to E2 client

## Symptoms

- Display Overview of Anti-Malware blade shows red X with state of "Error". ("Error" state in the Display Overview of Anti-Malware blade after updating from E1 client to E2 client)

## Cause

Known issue with the upgrade process from a E1 client to a E2 client due to the change from the E1 engine 8.8.0.165 to E2 engine 0.3.0.0.

## Solution

The workaround for this issue is to perform a client repair to fix the Anti-Malware blade.

To repair the client:

1. Open Control Panel \> Programs and Features.
2. Select the Check Point Endpoint Security application.
3. Select Repair.  
   \*\*Note - Uninstall password is required to perform repair from Control Panel\*\*

Alternately, use a Push Operation from SmartEndpoint to repair the client without prompting for the uninstall password.

1. Log into SmartEndpoint
2. Go to the Reporting Tab.
3. Navigate to Push Operations.
4. Select Create new...
5. Select Client Setting \> Repair Client, then Next.
6. Select the machine to repair, then Next.
7. Configure the detail of the operation, then Next.
8. Press Finish to create the Push Operation.
