# sk139113 - Filtered and non-filtered views in IPS Protections page show different values

## Symptoms

- * In **SmartConsole** -\> **Threat Prevention** -\> **IPS Protections** , values that are filtered by the "Staging", "By Profile", or "User-Modified" filters are larger than when the filter checkbox is selected.

* The Protections view only includes some of the Profiles. For example, "Optimized" and "Strict" are selected, while "Basic" is not.

## Cause

The non-filtered view shows the values of ALL profiles, including those which are not selected.

The filtered view shows the values of only the selected profile(s).

For example, if the "Basic" profile has 300 protections in Staging, while "Optimized" has none and "Strict" has 2, the non-filtered view will show 302 protections in Staging; the filtered view for "Optimized" and "Strict" will show 2 protections in Staging.
