# sk138832 - A very large policy installation fails with fwcomp core file

## Symptoms

- * With ["Optimized Drops" feature](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk90861) enabled, policy installation on Security gateway fails with:  
  `"Segmentation fault (core dumped)"`  
  Or  
  `"INTERNAL ERROR in PutBlock: dangling block at PutBlock"`  

* A core file of `fwcomp` process is created under `/var/log/dump/usermode/` directory with uncompressed size 4GB.

## Cause

The *intvl_kbuf_tbl*table is overloaded causing the memory consumption of fwcomp and its crash.
