# sk138472 - "Failed to load Policy on Security Gateway" message, policy installation fails on Scalable Platforms Appliance

## Symptoms

- * Policy installation on a Scalable Platforms Appliance fails with "Failed to load Policy on Security Gateway."  

* CPD debug, "cpd_admin debug on TDERROR_ALL_FP_dbg=5", on the SMO shows:  

  ```
  
  [SMO]: Policy Distribution Result = -1, Executed on core 12
  [SMO]: Policy Distribution failed
  policy distribution failed.
  ```

* `show port <port> statistics` on the Sync port shows increasing CRC errors. Check [sk101556](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk101556&partition=Advanced&product=Scalable#Mapping%20between%20ports%20on%20the%20SGM%20and%20the%20SSM-jump) Mapping for the port ID.
