# sk137072 - Upgrade from R77.30 to R80.10 with CPUSE fails

## Symptoms

- * Upgrade from R77.30 to R80.10 with CPUSE fails.  

* The `/opt/CPInstLog/DeploymentAgent.log` file shows:

* The `/opt/CPsuite-R80/fw1/log/cpm.elg` file shows the following validation:

  `DATE TIME,PID ERROR coresvc.internal.ObjectCrudSvcImpl [qtp398476229-76]: update of object 3e00e808-1e87-2d42-ae3b-2b5ea4d7fd52 (com.checkpoint.objects.classes.dummy.CpmiHostCkp) is aborted due to validation incident:ValidationIncident{incidentType='OBJECT'{validationDisplayName='`**SIC Name validation** `'{blade='null'{validationName='ObjectWithSICNameValidation', severity=BLOCKING_ERROR, message='SIC Name missing CN part: ?E?', validationContext=[FieldValidationContext{validatedObjId='edb60354-9fe7-4ddc-a6e0-ebde65066e17'{fieldName='null'}]}`  
  `DATE TIME,PID ERROR internal.operation.OperationSvcImpl [qtp398476229-76]: caught exception "`**A blocking validation error was found: SIC Name missing CN part: ?E?" from class com.checkpoint.management.coresvc.ValidationException**

## Cause

According to the error from *cpm.elg*, there is a problem with the SIC Certificate of the Security Management Server. Upgrade process runs validation check on the SIC name. Due to an issue with the old certificate the SIC name, upgrade did not pass the validation.
