# sk136632 - "KERLAG0029 Timeout waiting for response from database server" error in Clish during interface operations on 40G linecards / Slow boot

## Symptoms

- * During an interface operation (for example, adding or deleting an interface to/from a bond. or changing the MTU size) the user sees the following error:  
  "KERLAG0029 Timeout waiting for response from database server."
* Booting takes a long time, and the boot process hangs at "Configuring Interfaces".

## Cause

The RX ring size has been set to a value of \>4096 via "set interface NIC rx-ringsize 8192".
