# sk134214 - Unable to uninstall Endpoint Security Client after the unsuccessful upgrade

## Symptoms

- * After an unsuccessful upgrade, Endpoint Security Client uninstall attempt fails with "`Error 27557.Removing Check Point Endpoint Security is not allowed. Please check that the password you have entered is correct or contact your system administrator`":

* Upgrade from any version lower than E80.81 to E80.81 or higher hangs.

## Cause

The part of the drivers were not replaced and as a result the client was not fully upgraded. It can happen, for example, if the machine was rebooted during the upgrade process.

## Solution

[Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get a Hotfix for this issue.   
A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.   
For faster resolution and verification please collect [cpinfo extended](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk90445&partition=General&product=Endpoint) from the machine with Endpoint client.
