# sk132172 - "Failed to perform conversion by converter" error when trying  to install QoS policy

## Symptoms

- When the user tries to install a QoS policy, the installation fails with the following error:   
`Failed to perform conversion by converter '{B153B85C-5BB4-4116-B2B1-761ED3FDAFB3}'`. Error in the debug Failed to get profile name. reference probably not valid

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:

Check Point recommends to always upgrade to the most recent version   
([upgrade Security Gateway](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=overview&product=435) / [upgrade Security Management Server](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=overview&product=184) / [upgrade Multi-Domain Security Management](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=overview&product=166)).

If you choose not to upgrade, do the following:

1. Take a backup of your Security Management Server / Domain Management Server.

2. Close all SmartConsole windows (SmartDashboard, SmartView Tracker, SmartView Monitor, etc.).

3. Connect with the [GuiDBedit Tool](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk13009) to Security Management Server / Domain Management Server.

4. In the upper left pane, go to ***Table*** - ***Network Objects*** - ***network_objects***.

5. In the upper right pane, select the relevant Security Gateway / Cluster object.

6. Press CTRL+F (or go to ***Search*** menu - ***Find*** ) - paste ***SD_profile*** - click on ***Find Next***.

7. In the lower pane, right-click on the ***SD_profile*** - select ***Edit...*** - in the ***Object*** filed, select the applicable profile - click on ***OK***.

   **Note** : If the IPS blade is disabled, select the ***No_protection*** profile.
8. Save the changes: go to ***File*** menu - click on ***Save All***.

9. Close the GuiDBedit Tool.
