# sk129733 - Endpoint Security VPN client Location Awareness not working when deployed from Endpoint Management Server

## Symptoms

- * Location Awareness is configured but does not seem to function when Endpoint Security VPN clients are deployed from the Endpoint Management Server.
* Endpoint Security VPN client will automatically connect even when located inside the internal network.

## Cause

An incorrect deployment configuration is being used on the Endpoint Management Server:

## Solution

Include a custom *trac.config* file that has all of the configuration parameters set as required, when deploying the Endpoint Security VPN client package.

1. Select the Deployment Tab in SmartEndpoint.
2. Select Packages for Export.
3. Right-click "No VPN site defined", and change to "Use local VPN settings file".
4. Click Download package, and in the available window, browse and select the custom *trac.config* file.
