# sk129652 - Application Control may show allowed traffic from a category/application/site that is not explicitly configured on the matched rule

## Symptoms

- Application Control and/or URL Filtering "Log -- Details" may show matching application/category as a category that was not explicitly allowed by the rule base, while the "Log - Matched Rules" will show the actual Application/Category/Site traffic matched.

## Cause

No fix is required; the system is functioning as designed.

For more accurate logging and reports using SmartEvent, the log will show the most specific application detected, regardless of the matched application, which will be shown in the "Matched Rule" tab.
