## Symptoms

- * When implementing the Endpoint Security Client, client cannot connect to the server and displays error message:
"The endpoint security license is not available"
* SmartEndpoint License report shows blank or insufficient seat errors.
* When viewing the license properties for the Endpoint annual license and clicking "Show Contracts", an expired support contract, or evaluation contract, is displayed with the active contract. This contract can also be confirmed in the output of a 'cplic print' command run through command line on the Endpoint Security Server

## Cause

Annual Endpoint products require the installation of the current contract file to properly activate the seats.

Expired contracts are linked to the current Endpoint Annual product, or evaluation, that is blocking activation of the seats on the Endpoint Security Server.
