# sk129093 - Running cma_migrate on R80.10 Multi-Domain Server

## Symptoms

- Assign Global Policy and Sync operations might fail after running cma_migrate for importing Domain Server database on R80.10 Multi-Domain Server

## Cause

During the cma_migrate, the entire server is running in upgrade mode and therefore triggers and audit logs are disabled.

## Solution

To prevent the above symptoms or other issues as a result of running cma_migrate, follow these guidelines when running cma_migrate:

1. Create the new Domain that will be used for importing the CMA (See 'Migrating Domain Management Server Database' in Installation and Upgrade Admin Guide).

2. Before starting to run cma_migrate on a Multi-Domain Server, stop the processes with below commands:

1. mdsstop
2. mdsstart -m

3. Run cma_migrate to import the CMA into the newly created Domain.

4. Start the Server. Run mdsstart.
