# sk128532 - Check Point services do not start up after a reboot on Linux server (not Gaia)

## Symptoms

- * Check Point services do not start up after a reboot on Linux server (not Gaia).
* Upon every reboot, `cpstart` has to be run in order to start all Check Point services.

## Cause

A blank space exists in the */etc/rc.d/init.d/cpboot* file before the [shebang](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shebang_(Unix)) (i.e. !#/bin/sh). The reason for not starting the Check Point service is because of the sensitivity of RedHat system to such characters before the shebang.
