# sk126692 - Identity Agent displays incorrect usernames in pep/pdp

## Symptoms

- * Identity Agent displays incorrect usernames in *pep/pdp*.
* *Expert# pep show user all* displays the username with a machine name and $ appended to the end.  
  For Example - in the 2nd row, username is the machine name:  

  ```
  [Expert@[Gateway Name]:0]# pep show user all
  Command: root->show->user->all
  ID (PDP; UID)                       Username@Machine         CID (IP, PacketID)   PT
  ========================================================================================
  127.0.0.1      :00000000; 1bf25b4c  user@[Machine1]                192.168.176.230 , 00000000  -
  127.0.0.1      :00000000; 01e4b3e9  [Machine2_Name]$@[Machine2_Name]         192.168.176.100 , 00000000  -
  ```

## Cause

The Identity Agent was installed with SYSTEM permissions and not the user's permissions.

usernames cannot be detected when the Identity Agent is running at the SYSTEM level.
