# sk125692 - "RSOD Stop In PSMain 0x500179c" error during installation of FDE

## Symptoms

- "RSOD Stop In PSMain 0x500179c" error during the installation of FDE after the second reboot (which is required to write the system area and start encryption).

## Cause

The machine has an extended partition before the main system partition in its partition layout. This causes FDE to mount the incorrect partition.
