## Symptoms

- Upgrade from pre-R80 is failing due to bad characters in thresholds.C file, resulted with below error message in $MDS_FWDIR/log/cpm_for_cpdb-.elg file:

## Cause

On R77.30 and lower, $FWDIR/conf/thresholds.C file on Security Management Server / Domain Management Server is either missing, or has become corrupted.
