# sk124612 - SNMP fails with "Timeout: No Response from localhost" when querying an R80.10 Security Gateway

## Symptoms

- * When querying an R80.10 Security Gateway, SNMP fails with `"Timeout: No Response from localhost"` and the query does not complete.
* The SNMPD process generates a usermode core dump after being queried by the server.  
* When SNMPD debugs are enabled, the query is slow but does not crash and generate a core dump.

## Cause

This issue only occurs on R80.10 Security Gateways: R80.10 Security Management is not affected.

The query **1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.6.103 (svnStatLongDescr)** does not return a value and causes the SNMPD process to crash and restart.
