# sk124372 - Incorrect status of license in SmartConsole

## Symptoms

- * The license/contract of the Security Gateway server shows an incorrect status for a license which no longer exists.
* # cplic print and SmartUpdate do not have the license installed either centrally or locally.
* Running the command `# cpstat os -f licensing` from the Management Server shows the correct license status as it appears in SmartUpdate, rather than the one shown in the GUI.

## Cause

The old license was not removed successfully from the database.
