# sk123604 - Cannot upload Endpoint Security Client packages via SmartEndpoint running on Windows Server 2008 SP2

## Symptoms

- * Cannot upload Endpoint Security Client packages via SmartEndpoint console running on Windows Server 2008 SP2.
* Cannot select "Validate packages signature (Recommended)" option.

## Cause

Windows Server 2008 has only limited support for SHA-2 and as such does not support our client installer's digital signature. This is after installing all the possible KB's related to enabling SHA-2 on this version of Windows Server 2008 SP2.

Uploading packages on Windows Server 2008 SP2 is only possible without signature verification.
