# sk123565 - JViewer console on LOM card is unable to start

## Symptoms

- * When opening the JViewer console through the LOM Card on the Check Point appliance, a security exception prevents the console from functioning.
* Attempts to bypass Java security by adding an exception for the LOM interface IP address fail, as the exception list does not update after applying the changes.

## Cause

Insufficient permissions prevent the addition of the IP exception, as the Java console does not run with administrative permissions by default.
