## Symptoms

- * The Gaia Clish commands "`show configuration snmp`" and "`show configuration`" fail with a "`Segmentation fault`" error.

  Example:

  ```
  
  Host> show configuration snmp
  Segmentation fault
  ```

* The */var/log/messages* file contains this line for the time of the issue:

  `showConfiguration: failed to roles to users`

## Cause

The "`snmp:mode default`" line is missing in the Gaia Database.

Verify this by running the following command in the Expert mode:

*\[Expert@Hostname:0\]# cat /config/active \|grep "snmp:mode"*
