## Symptoms

- * SmartEvent cannot read logs from External Management Server / Log Server.
* cpsead.elg shows:  

  `Peer x.x.x.x want to exchange keys but I don't have a password Error:failed to get log information from log server. There are SIC configuration problems. See first SIC failure message for details`

* [sk35288 - How to enable SmartEvent to read logs from external Security Management Server / externally managed Log Server](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk35288) has been followed, but did not resolve the issue.
