# sk123323 - How to change the gradual update group for Threat Emulation

## Solution

Threat Emulation updates are deployed gradually based on the default group number. To get the latest updates as soon as they are released, the gradual update group can be changed to "1" (first to receive updates).

1. Verify the gradual update group:  

   *\[Expert@Gateway:0\]# tecli ad sc a \| grep gr*

   gradual update group id: 2
2. From the Check Point Database tool (GuiDBedit.exe), change the value *te_file_types_gradual_update_number* to "1".

3. Save the changes. File \> Save All
4. Close GuiDBedit.
5. Install the Threat prevention Policy and verify the group is "1". *\[Expert@Gateway:0\]# tecli ad sc a \| grep gr*

   gradual update group id: 1
