# sk122576 - Mobile Access Portal Agent for Mozilla Firefox asks to re-install even after it was properly installed

## Symptoms

- Mobile Access Portal Agent for Mozilla Firefox asks to re-install even after it was properly installed:  

* When user attempts to launch SSL Network Extender (Network or Application mode)
* When Mobile Access portal attempts to invoke the Endpoint Compliance scanner and the Secure Workspace on Windows

## Cause

1. Mozilla has changed the format of profiles in Firefox 58. Because of this change neither Windows installer nor Linux installer can perform all the installation steps required for the Mobile Access Portal Agent. As a result, the browser cannot recognize a running Mobile Access Portal Agent, after its installation.
2. In addition, more recently, Firefox changed the configuration file that manages profiles, and the installer of the Mobile Access Portal agent installs the certificate to the non-active Firefox profile. Out of the box, Firefox has two profiles and in the *profiles.ini* files, the non-active profile is marked as Default=1
