## Symptoms

- * After the user reboots and restarts Check Point services (cpstop;cpstart), the scanengine processes are no longer affined to the firewall workers. (**Note:** The user has enabled the SMT feature as per [sk93000](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk93000) and applied the instructions in the "Best Practices" section.)
* When the user reapplies the instructions in the "Best Practices" section of [sk93000](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk93000), using the *taskset_us_all* command, the CPU's affinity with the scanengine process is fixed according to the configuration settings from [sk93000](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk93000) "Best Practices" again.
* When the user restarts scanengine_b and scanengine_k using *\[Expert@Home\]# fw kill ted* , the scanengine process is broken again and the configuration from [sk93000](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk93000) is lost.

## Cause

The scanengine process is not configured to save the *taskset_us_all* command.
