# sk121875 - AWS Cluster failover does not succeed

## Symptoms

- * AWS Cluster failover does not succeed.
* The *$FWDIR/scripts/aws_ha_test.py* command returns the following error:  
  Error:  
  Failed to retrieve interfaces from AWS  
  Please verify that the IAM role is set up correctly.

## Cause

Following AWS move to its own certificate authority (CA), Security Gateways deployed using images released before R80.10 015-252 or R77.30 014-165 are unable to complete AWS API calls, causing the Cluster failover not to function.
