# sk121836 - SSL Network Extender client is stuck at "connecting" state

## Symptoms

- * SSL Network Extender client is stuck at "connecting" state.
* The following log is shown in the SmartView tracker::  
  `"SSL Network Extender: User Authentication expired"`
* Uninstalling the SNX component or reboot the PC does not resolve the issue.
* The same user can connect from another PC - only from some machines he is unable to connect.
* vpnd.elg shows the following log: \[vpnd 19881 4082030528\]@SDL-FW01\[24 Feb 15:11:15\]\[ucache\] UCMem_get_by_name: Searching for ben \[vpnd 19881 4082030528\]@SDL-FW01\[24 Feb 15:11:15\]\[ucache\] UCMem_get_by_name: Entry found.

## Cause

The Security Gateway is authenticating the client from an old entry in the cache.
