# sk121775 - "Multiple objects have the same IP address" warning message in SmartConsole

## Symptoms

- * "Multiple objects have the same IP address" error message in SmartConsole.

* The error message disappears when the user clicks "Yes", but a similar message will pop up every time the user opens the gateway object.

## Cause

In order to have a manually configured Network Address Translation (NAT), the user configured a non-CP host with the same IP as a gateway.  
There is no mechanism for remembering when a user has already seen the warning message, or for allowing the user to opt out from seeing it again.
