**What is an HA suffix in a license file?**

* HA stands for "High Availability" and is an additional security enforcement point for high availability deployments.
* An HA suffix in a license only indicates a discounted SKU (Stock Keeping Unit).
* An HA suffix in a license is not required for any type of clustering. The advanced feature code in the license is CPSB-ADNC, which provides clustering, dynamic routing and [other advanced features](https://www.checkpoint.com/products/advanced-networking-clustering-software-blade/).
* Equipment with an HA license will not work as non clustered gateway. For that, contact Account Services and generate a license without the HA prefix. Contact Check Point Account Services in one of these ways:

  * by phone:

    * International: +972-3-611-5100 - option 3 - option 5

**How to determine an HA license:**

* Generate a license file in usercenter.checkpoint.com.
* Open the generated \*.lic file using text editor (notepad or notepad++).
* Check the signature string. If you see an HA suffix, the license is an HA license (e.g. CPAP-SG460X-***HA*** CPSB-FW-***HA*** CPSM-C-2 CPSB-VPN-***HA*** CPSB-NPM).
