# sk121443 - SmartEvent view fails to display log information

## Symptoms

- * In SmartConsole application, SmartEvent view fails to display log information.
* `mgmt_cli_fingerprint` command line utility fails with error `Failed to decode certificate file to the binary format. File: 'xyz'`.  
  Or the error `Failed to read client certificates`.
* The output of   
  `#file /web/conf/server.crt`   
  Returns: "ASCII text, with CRLF line terminators"

## Cause

The Gaia certificate file contains Windows CRLF line terminators.
