## Symptoms

- * "`Partition /opt has: XXXX MB of free space and it's lower than required: 2000 MB.`" error in SmartConsole.

* The `df -h` command shows available disk space for the root ("/") to be less than 2 GB.

## Cause

The root partition is running low on disk space and needs more space.

The disk space required is different for each user. Refer to the **Release Notes** for your version to see the minimum requirements.
