# sk121126 - Hosts are not able to ping to their own default gateway on locally managed SMB appliances

## Symptoms

- Clients connected to the DMZ network, cannot ping the default gateway IP of the DMZ (although it is their own gateway) when DMZ port on SMB appliance is configured to work as a separate local network and the DMZ hosts can communicate with the Internet (going through the WAN).   

Example:   

Host with 192.168.200.2 IP address cannot ping to IP address 192.168.200.1 which configured as the gateway of the port.
