# sk121118 - "vsx_util reconfigure" command fails

## Symptoms

- * The `vsx_util reconfigure` command fails while converting to VSX gateway.  

* The `/var/log/gw_to_vsx.log` file on the Security Management Server shows:

  DDD MMM DD HH:MM:SS YYYY:  All drivers were successfully removed from the machine.

  DDD MMM DD HH:MM:SS YYYY:  Error: verification failed (could not validate fwk process).
  DDD MMM DD HH:MM:SS YYYY: Received the command call_post_install_hooks.
  DDD MMM DD HH:MM:SS YYYY: running post script hooks
  DDD MMM DD HH:MM:SS YYYY: executing post script /opt/CPsuite R77/fw1/scripts/post_conversion_hooks//dbset_hook.bash

## Cause

The *$FWDIR/boot/modules/fwkern.conf* file has comment lines that start with "#" character.

For example:

*#This is a comment*

Comments are not allowed in the fwkern.conf (see [sk26202](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk26202)). Comments in this file cause fwk process to fail on load during the conversion.
