## Symptoms

- * After starting new installation, or an upgrade of Endpoint Security Client, see error popup with text:  
  "Error 1935 An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {98CB24AD-52FB-DB5F-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E} (numbers can differ). HRESULT: 0x80070002"
* Windows will pop-up the following error message:  
  an error occurred during the installation of assembly "Microsoft.VC80.ATL, type="win32"

## Cause

Corruption of Microsoft.NET Framework, caused by incorrect \\ faulty uninstallation of certain products that use Microsoft.NET Framework.

**This error is not related to the Endpoint Security Client application.**
