# sk120372 - Log shows that a connection was rejected by the explicit Application Layer "Accept" rule for this connection

## Symptoms

- * Log shows that a connection was rejected by the explicit Application Layer "Accept" rule for this connection.

* Issue is usually reported for HTTP, HTTPS, DNS connections.

* Kernel debug ('`fw ctl zdebug -m fw + drop`') shows that the connection was dropped by the "`sip_manager`" handler:  

  `;fw_log_drop_ex: Packet proto= ... dropped by fw_conn_post_inspect Reason: Handler 'sip_manager' drop;`

## Cause

The Application Layer "Accept" rule for the involved traffic, in addition to the relevant service object, contains a SIP service object.

*Example* - in addition to '`http`' service, the rule contains '`sip_any`' service:

The drop seen in the kernel debug "`... dropped by fw_conn_post_inspect reason: Handler 'sip_manager' drop`" occurs due to the SIP protocol handler being applied to a non-SIP traffic. As a result, IPS drops this traffic.
