# sk120154 - False "interface link status alert" SNMP traps on 1100 Appliance

## Symptoms

- While using the SNMP trap for interface link status, "interface link status alert" SNMP traps regarding disabled interfaces are received on 1100 Appliance.

## Cause

Wrong configuration of the threshold configurations. By the current design, system checks a specific field at the *thresholds_local.conf* file, and decides to send the SNMP trap.
