## Symptoms

- * SIC Initialization between Active and Backup Domain Management Servers fails with:

`SIC Status for <Name of Backup Domain Management Server>: Not Communicating`
  `
  Authentication error [error no. 147]
  `

  `
Check that peer SIC is configured properly`
  `
and that system date and time on the`
  `
Security Management Server and peer are synchronized`
* The status of the Backup Domain Management Server in the SmartDomain Manager ("Overview" pane) is constantly changing between "`Started`" and "`Unknown`".

* Debug of CPD daemon (per [sk86320](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk86320)) on the Backup Domain Management Server shows the following during the SIC Initialization:

`SIC Error for CpdPing: Certificate revoked`
  `
opsec_new_auth_conn_to_server: conn from IP_ADDRESS to entity (0xXXX) failed (323) SIC Error for CpdPing: Certificate revoked.`

## Cause

CRL Mismatch between Domain Management Servers.

The Backup Domain Management Server tries to fetch a certificate, which is already revoked. Therefore, SIC cannot be established.
