# sk119277 - "A network cannot have more than one interface with the same IP address" validation error when trying to add new interfaces to an X-Series cluster object

## Symptoms

- "A network cannot have more than one interface with the same IP address" validation error when trying to add new interfaces to an X-Series cluster object.

## Cause

There are multiple APM's that are installed under the same VAP-Group on the same Chassis. X-Series APM's which are installed under the same VAP-Group in the same chassis have the same physical IP address.  
Due to this fact, this validation should be ignored on X-Series appliances.
