## Symptoms

- * Gaia snapshot fails due to file-system error.

* Snapshot suddenly disappears before its completion when repeatedly running the Gaia Clish command "`show snapshots`".

* Debug of */sbin/dump* shows the following failures:

  ./var/opt/...: (inode XXX) not found on tape`

  ...`  
  `
  DUMP: read error from /dev/vg_splat/lv_current_snap: Input/output error: [block XXX, ext2blk 0]: count=XXX
  `
