## Symptoms

- The option to get the interfaces without changing the current topology is missing in Security Gateway / Cluster object in SmartConsole R80 and above.

1. Open a Security Gateway / Cluster object properties.

2. Click on the "*Network Management*" pane.

3. The only available option is "`Get Interfaces`", which if accepted, will automatically updated the topology configuration (according to static routes).

## Cause

This is the default behavior in SmartConsole R80 and higher.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

* [R80.10 SmartConsole](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk119612) - since *Build 005*

For **R80 SmartConsole**, follow these steps in Security Gateway / Cluster object:

1. Open the Security Gateway / Cluster object.

2. In the left tree, click the **Network Management** pane.

3. Select the interface whose topology settings should *not* be updated *automatically* and click the **Edit** button.

10. Install the Access Policy on the Security Gateway / Cluster object.

**Notes:**

* When following the procedure above, Static Routes will still be fetched, and corresponding Network objects will still be created.
