# sk118052 - "Internal error, please contact support" in SmartDashboard when adding an Internal DNS Server for Malware DNS Trap

## Symptoms

- * "`Internal error, please contact support`" pop-up when adding a global "Internal DNS Server" object for Malware DNS Trap in SmartDashboard connected to a Domain Management Server:

  1. Go to the *Threat Prevention* tab
  2. In the left pane, click on the *Profiles*
  3. Edit the relevant Threat Prevention profile
  4. Expand the *Advanced*
  5. Click on the *Malware DNS Trap*
  6. In the *Internal DNS Servers* section, click on the *Add* button
  7. "`Internal error, please contact support`" pop-up is displayed

* Debug of SmartDashboard (per [sk112334](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk112334#R76 and R77.x)) shows:

  `CDleObjectStorageManager::updateObject --> ERROR: Global object modification is prohibited! Object '' cannot be updated as requested`

## Cause

The Host object that user tried to select is a Global object defined in the Global SmartDashboard.  
Domain Management Servers are not allowed to modify Global objects.

This error message will be displayed for any Global object that is being modified on a Domain Management Server.
