## Symptoms

- When trying to access offline media from a machine without the Endpoint client, you may receive the following error:

```
Internal Error:  Disknet command failed.
The system cannot find the file specified.
```

## Cause

The USB media device has write protection enabled (either via hardware or 3rd party software).

Access to Business Data.exe was not able to detect that write access on the USB device. When Access to Business Data.exe tries to open the container with write permissions, it gets denied due to the permissions.

An example of 3rd-party software that could cause this would be Cryptzone.

## Solution

You must disable write protection via the 3rd party software or hardware in order to access the encrypted media.
