# sk116866 - Access Role does not appear to be working

## Symptoms

- * Output of "`pep show user all`" command on Identity Awareness Gateway is empty.

* Output of "`adlog a dc`" command on Identity Awareness Gateway shows that it is connected to AD servers.

* *$FWDIR/log/pepd.elg* file on Identity Awareness Gateway shows:

  `[BasicSicServer (TD::Important)] NAC::IS::BasicSicServer::NewConnection: failed connecting from client 127.0.0.1:XXX, sic error: SIC Error: illegal client sic name`
* Output of "`cpinfo -y`" command on Identity Awareness Gateway shows (output was truncated for brevity):

## Cause

The hotfix "COPPER_GA_148" is intended for Endpoint Security Server R77.30.01 and not for Security Gateway.
