# sk116680 - On a DLP gateway, virtual memory keeps increasing until it reaches 90% and the Security Gateway needs to be rebooted

## Symptoms

- * On a DLP gateway virtual memory keeps increasing until it reaches 90% and the Security Gateway needs to be rebooted.
* If the Security Gateway is not rebooted users experience traffic latency issues.
* No memory leak is found when running Leak detection ([sk35496](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk35496)).
* High usage of swap is seen when running memory monitoring script.
* DLP is keeping lots of opened File Descriptors to deleted files:
