### Zero Touch Cloud Service for Quantum Spark Appliances (Gaia Embedded OS) {#Gaia_Embedded_OS}

The administrator applies the initial deployment configuration for the Quantum Spark Appliances in the Zero Touch portal (or API service). When a Quantum Spark Appliance is connected to the internet for the first time, it fetches the settings automatically.

The settings from the Zero Touch Cloud Service replace the First Time Configuration Wizard. After the Quantum Spark Appliance downloads and successfully applies the settings, it will not connect to the Zero Touch Cloud Service again.

ZeroTouch Cloud Service supports *REST API* - all actions are available through API calls.

### Zero Touch Cloud Service for Quantum Appliances (Gaia OS) {#Gaia_OS}

The administrator applies the initial deployment configuration for the Quantum Appliances in the Zero Touch portal (or API service) which includes producing an Identification Key. The same Identification Key is configured on the Quantum Appliance to identify the appliance unambiguously.

The Quantum Appliances should have correct Identification Key and active internet connection to communicate with Zero Touch Cloud Service.
You can configure the Identification Key and Internet connection on the Quantum Appliances in the Gaia First Time Configuration Wizard, Gaia Portal, or Gaia Clish.
