# sk116365 - "unlink: command not found" error when removing symbolic link on SMB device

## Symptoms

- `"-bash: unlink: command not found"` error when running the `unlink` command to remove a symbolic link on SMB device.   

Example:

```
   
[Expert@admin]# ln -s 1.file 2.file
[Expert@admin]# unlink 2.file 
 -bash: unlink: command not found 
```

## Cause

The '*unlink*' command does not exist in Gaia ?mbedded appliances.
